The American Clean Energy and Security Act, H.R. 2454, is the first comprehensive climate and energy legislation with a serious chance of being signed into law. Unfortunately, big polluters have been able to significantly weaken the plan in Congress. In the last three months, oil, coal, and natural gas companies have spent $79 million to lobby Congress.  

Send the message below - adding your own comments - and urge your Representative to strengthen the climate bill before full passage (it just passed it's first House committee). Specifically, HR 2454 should auction pollution credits for public good (not give them to away for free to polluters), it should improve the goals for renewable energy to 25% by 2025, and should restore the EPA ability to regulate carbon pollution.
